Lol. The qb who transferred to syracuse wasn't reliable. Time will sort out the riffraff. Howard is Tougher than the previous qb who was easily run off. If there is a Decrepit Offensive Line blocking for the first round drafted qb, or a second round qb in Howard, or a veteran qb bought with big money from else where, then probably won't be Any different than the qb who just left us....

Quote from: madbadger on Today at 12:57:01 PMI don't see what you guys are seeing in Howard. I see much more of Kent Graham in him than I do Eli. This years version of OSU was filthy. They have two elite running backs, two first round picks at receiver and an excellent offensive line. He didn't hurt OSU and was an effective game manager. I never felt like he was the difference between winning and losing but I do think his poor play cost them against Oregon the first time they met.

I disagree. The qb last year who went away to syracuse wasn't reliable imo, and Howard was a step forward to the direction of the quality of qbs we'd gotten used to. But Howard was NOT as flashy as our previous group of qbs yet he was mostly accurate as his completion stats prove and he could run effectively. He certainly did exhibit more of a Eli type style than you insist.
This Offensive Line Was better than last year which would've affected the abilities of the qb who left for syracuse, sure. Our offensive line did perform Better this year, admittedly.
Lol I'm sure you can find other Buckeye fans who disagree with me. I saw one season of Howard as a Buckeye qb and I trusted him as our team offensive leader. He Did Lead this Championship Team.

What are biggest strengths and his biggest weakness?

Perhaps he can miss occasionally, and HC said in a post victory press that Howard missed when his feet weren't right, but said Howard's ready to start at pro. Day's words, not mine. As a casual fan only watching this qb one season, I trusted that qb. Last year's qb who transferred to syracuse I wasn't impressed with at all. But then we'd gotten really spoiled by a long line of really good "COLLEGE" qbs.

He had one flub of a game on the last one vs ×eatchicken SCum ttun, and I feel the HC and the Lead OC were the primary source of that offensive flunkout. But that's just my biased opinion. I'm mostly a Defensive fan, LB, which is why my favorite Buckeye is Chris Spielman, Vrabel honorable mention, and I am a GIANTS fan because of LT.

As a Lifelong Buckeye fan, and a GIANTS fan since 1987>, Will Howard has the similar vibe that Eli exhibited, imo . For what it's worth..

GO GIANTS!!!!

GO BUCKEYES!!!!
