Someone had to fill the void that Dan Synder left behind.

My son told me someone recorded Beck talking to a girl and posted it briefly online before taking it down. In the recording he said he didn't really want to play football anymore. If that's true it's impossible  for him to play to the level of his physical ability. Football just isn't a sport where you can just go through the motions.

Quote from: brownelvis54 on November 16, 2024, 08:29:20 PMI am more concerned about his injuries

Why? He hasn't been seriously injured. I would prefer that hadn't missed a game or two the last two years but it's not like he's has multiple concussions, a torn ACL or a neck injury.

Quote from: Hadron on November 13, 2024, 08:10:10 AMBenching the "franchise" QB. What a time to be alive.

"Franchise" in name only. In reality a career backup.

Quote from: MightyGiants on November 11, 2024, 05:15:43 PMThis looks catchable to me

The ball placement made that catch 100 times more difficult than it should have been. Yes it was catchable but if you're a NFL quarterback you've got to be able to place the ball better on a two yard pass.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Arch Manning
November 11, 2024, 06:54:52 PM
Quote from: Brooklyn Dave on November 11, 2024, 04:30:49 PMI have read some posters , not on this forum , say the Giants should sign a holdover QB next year and draft Arch Manning in 2026. Do people really think he is the second coming of Eli or Peyton ? He has played one full game against University Louisiana Monroe . Might he become a HOF QB who knows. But to wait until 2026 is totally foolish

He has played more than one full game, and in his appearances he's been more effective than Quinn Ewers who should be a first round pick this year if he comes out.

It won't be. John Mara will never do that to his man crush.

Quote from: kingm56 on November 10, 2024, 10:56:49 AMI know; I was being sarcastic.  That was a quote from a poster this offseason.  If you couldn't tell exactly what DJ was years ago, I don't know what to tell you.

Gotcha. Sorry for my response. I just can't take any more of this inept bs.

Quote from: kingm56 on November 10, 2024, 10:52:29 AMAnd if you knew he wasn't the guy three years ago, you arrived that conclusion through luck.

Bull$hit. He peaked his rookie year nd has been a ham sandwich ever since. Every other franchise would have popped smoke three years ago.

Quote from: kingm56 on November 10, 2024, 10:50:09 AMNO...keep him in; he gives us the best chance to draft his replacement.

Until he inevitably gets hurt and we're on the hook for the rest of his contract. His ass should be in the bench.

Can we get this f-ing garbage off the field. I've lost faith in this franchise over its inexplicable insistence on giving Jones opportunity after opportunity when everyone with a pulse knows he's a brain dead stiff.

He was always a really good quarterback, who for whatever reason didn't get along with McVey. In his four seasons with the Rams he went to the pro bowl twice and guided them to a Super Bowl. I wish there was someone stupid enough to trade us a quarterback that good.

It's embarrassing that it's taken them this long. I'm no Neal fan but not playing your best tackle on your quarterback's blind side is a special brand of stupid.

Quote from: MightyGiants on November 04, 2024, 03:28:08 PMYour sarcasm aside, culture matters.  Teams lacking good culture don't lose more often than not

You can say that all you want but at the end of the day it comes down to players executing on game day, or not. This league has had some dirtbag owners who've had teams that won. Al Davis comes to mind.
