Schoen has done a good job imo. The 22 draft didn't end up as great as many of us thought after getting Thibs and Neal, but those players were highly touted and not many stars drafted after them. The Wandale pick was atrocious with Pickens still being there.  The 23 draft was bad for sure and the 24 draft looks to be very good. Burns trade was very good.  That D is a DT and another CB away from being very good.

Quote from: MightyGiants on November 13, 2024, 09:03:16 AMBanks also mentioned the WR position.  While his loose lips are a serious issue, I suspect Nabers is also getting sloppy with his routes and assignments.

I remember early in the season I questioned Nabors effort among other things and I recieved nothing but, Nabors is great, he is a beast, nothing to worry about etc but I was concerned and still am concerned about Nabors. So far I am not a fan of Nabors. 2-3 critical game changing drops along with the lack of effort and calling out teammates is not conducive to a winning team.

Quote from: MrGap92 on November 10, 2024, 02:52:11 PMMcCarthy never played a game yet, he was IR before season started

He played a preseason game and threw for almost 200 yards with 2 TDs, 1 pick.

Seems to be good players but it may have been a mistake to take Nabers over: McCarthy, Nix and Penix. Nix has looked pretty good in season. The one game we seen McCarthy he also looked solid.

Big Blue Huddle / Who will play LT?
November 08, 2024, 04:51:32 PM
Is Hubbard still penciled in at LT or are the Giants going back to Ezuedu? My eyes have told me Hubbard is a complete disaster in Pass Protection so I am hoping they put someone else at LT.

I have watched several of the commanders games and have mentioned on here several times that Daniels has all day back in the pocket due to his Oline. Their line had been way better than the Giants Oline. Talent upgrade compared to the Giants Oline is why I believe Johnson is doing well. Talent is needed and the Giants as a whole just don't have much of it.

Same question I had. Play through the whistle is what one of the old head referees said while on with the commentators. I have never heard that. Playing through the whistle could cause ruckus.

Quote from: files58 on November 04, 2024, 01:55:05 PMJust now on the NFL Network they had his numbers from the 1st half.
4 of 6 completions
0 yards
1 TD
109.7 rating.

Since the TD had to be for positive yardage, so at least 2 and probably all three of the other completions had to be for negative yards. That's an accomplishment certainly worthy of a 109.7 grade /sarcasm/  /sarcasm/ I watch him play EXPECTING negative outcomes. It's his norm.

In fairness, if others around Jones executed properly, Jones first half stats wouldn't have looked so low. For instance, Jones threw a WR screen to Wandale and I believe, Runyon whiffed on the block causing negative yardage. I see other teams such as the Commanders throw WR screens and get positive yardage all the time. Not Jones fault that he ran the play called and Runyon and Wandale couldn't do their job.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Nabers.....red flags?

Nabors mouth and attitude can be a dividing voice in my opinion. Although I understand he is a talented player I am not a fan of him. Dropped too many important passes already and has basically already said his teammates are trash.

As I stated during the Commanders and Bears game, the Commanders Oline is just way better. Daniels has all day. Meanwhile, the Giants Oline is a turnstile in pass protection.

No Giants pass catchers seem to be able to make a contested catch.

Quote from: uconnjack8 on November 03, 2024, 01:23:01 PMSo the whistle doesn't matter?  Wtf is that?  Players now have to play past the whistle?  The play was dead with no recovery

Exactly! Play through the whistle? Thought it was play to the whistle. The whistle means play is dead smh

There is no possible way that Hubbard is the best LT on the roster
