Rangers.

But I only support them and the Giants. I don't think they are poles apart but I think the Rangers have the core position nailed down, with the Giants it's an unknown.

Apparently, we aren't getting anything new from Sheridan until the end of the year  :(
Most excited about "Landman 2" and "1944"

Any way lime the Knicks thread, we could have a college football thread and a single thread for news of the other 31 teams. I have so much smaller news about all the incoming rookies and teams. I know it's a Giants forum but a place to put small things like this, other teams news, and a college one for us diehard cfb fans to discuss the top teams this upcoming year, way too early top 50s for the draft etc would be phenomenal. Or at least a vote to see If ppl want them

So often now when I hear that someone has passed away peacefully in his or her sleep, I begin to recall the words composed as a vocal accompaniment to the 2nd Movement of Antonin Dvorak's 9th Symphony in E Minor " From the New World"

GOING HOME

Going home, going home
I am going home
Quiet like, some still day
I am going home

It's not far, just close by
Through an open door
Work all done, care laid by
Never fear no more

Mother's there expecting me
Father's waiting too
Lots of faces gathered there
All the friends I knew

I'm just going home
No more fear, no more pain
No more stumbling by the way
No more longing for the day
Going to run no more

Morning star light the way
Restless dreams all gone
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life has begun

There's no break, there's no end
Just living on
Wide awake, with a smile
Going on and on, going on and on

Going home, going home
I am going home
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life has begun
I'm just going home

You would have loved our discussions on TWD. We had a solid group that watched every week and we came here to direct every show. I fully agree that when Carl died and it took him long enough the show was really getting to be on borrowed time. The entire show should have ended when Rick left as we all had a hard ti.e watching after that. But for a good solid 5 years it was the show we all talked about.
How do you compare this new show to that?

Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on Today at 02:44:34 PMTalk about movie analogies and generation gap. One of my granddaughters wanted to know more about tornadoes (as it was on the news on the radio and we were traveling to her game). I said, "they're just like in Wizard of Oz" to which I got blank stare. I said, "tell me you've never watched the Wizard of Oz". She said, "I've never even heard of it". So I said, "wow, you need to watch the classics", so I said, what about "Back to the Future", to a reply of "nope"..."Ferris Bueller's Day Off"..."nope"..."Crocodile Dundee? Jurassic Park"..."nope, nope". What I discovered was that I am old

Boy is this thread getting hijacked.
I can relate to what Ric just said as my grandchildren had heard of but never seen some of these classic films. Wizard of Oz--too scary, but we watched it together and they loved it. The joy of presenting some of these classics like ET to these newer watchers and the joy of seeing how they love them now is just a wonderful feeling.

Quote from: LennG on Today at 01:58:03 PMI am enjoying this series.
Did you ever watch The Walking Dead in its real heyday? It was far superior to anything at that time, and really was the most talked-about show on TV at that time. It was a terrific watch, also. I don't think you were around then, but we had an ongoing thread about TWD after every episode. It was huge and on a par with any of the best shows on TV.
As I watch this series, and I haven't gotten to season 2, but this series reminds me of the heyday of The Walking Dead, which really was 'Must Watch TV'.
