Huge week for college football after upset week.

No2 Ohio State vs No3 Oregon
No1 Texas vs No18 Oklahoma
No4 Penn St vs USC
No9 Ole Miss vs No13 LSU
Florida vs No8 Tennessee
No14 BYU vs Arizona
No11 Notre Dame vs Stanford
Colorado vs No18 KSU

Could see another huge shakeup in what has been a Rollercoaster of a season.

Huge week indeed. Red River, OSU/Ore, PSU/USC and OSU/LSU are glitzy as hell.

And btw week 8 is kind of insane too. Bama at Tennessee and also GA at Texas.

Wild season.

I don't feel great about the USC game, from a Penn State fan's perspective.  We have just not been consistent enough yet.  A win at USC would go a long way toward securing a playoff spot, so maybe we'll put it together.  That OSU-Oregon game is going to be really intriguing to watch.

You forgot the huge Rutgers-Wisky battle

Ohio St vs Oregon is by far the marquee matchup.  Lots of NFK prospects playing in that game.  What will Ryan Day/Chip Kelly do?

PSU: Yes, this is the 2nd-most dangerous game on the schedule. Forget 3-2.  USC is very good.

No surprise if PSU loses; if they romp, Ohio St better watch out; winning a squeaker is most likely IMO.

As for OSU vs. Oregon, home field advantage is so important in college ball that you've got to expect the home team to prevail. Both teams are chock full of future NFL players (and a couple of likely pro stars).

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Tend to agree on Oregon Bob. Although OSU has just absolutely wrecked all five times they've played. Of course, none of the opponents have been in Oregon's class. Oregon on the other hand had a tough time with Boise State (in Euguene) and only beat Idaho by 10 (also in Eugene).

Still, I think I lean Oregon in that game (getting 3 points) for the reasons you mentioned.

DB: All excellent points.

A close game won't surprise me, but Oregon in recent years has all-too-often seriously under-performed in big games.

However, I really like your point that Oregon squeaked by a few times this year in games where a blow-out should have occurred.  This, IMO, increases the likelihood that Ohio State might take them too lightly.

Great take on how OSU might perceive Oregon Bob.

Eugene is complete bedlam in these huge, hyped up games. As good as OSU is, that's just a tough situation for any team. I think it could be the difference here.

Ole Miss faces a similar situation in Death Valley tonight. I have Ole Miss as being a touch better, but that venue is brutal, especially at night. Should be a great one.

So many great games today. I'm just going to sit here drinking beer, and watch The Red River Shootout, Oregon-OSU, and Ole Miss-LSU.

Massive games for Ole Miss and Oklahoma, neither wants to get their 2nd conference loss. Frankly this is Oklahoma's game of the season and a rivalry game

I am very interested in seeing how Bama and Tennessee respond. South Carolina is up and down, but can play, and FLorida seems to be improving.

Kentucky-Vandy is very interesting also.

Philosophers

I would not under sell Ohio State just because of their poor early teams they've played.  Last season folks said the same thing about Michigan then realized at the end how good they were.

The only concern maybe is that so many of OSU's star players are new (via transfer portal or freshman) that maybe in tough times they won't have a common culture to lean back on with the other players.

Any Giants wanting to see more of QB Jalen Milroe should watch the Bama - South Carolina game.  The kid is good.  He's my college prospect QB1 and one I hope the Giants get if they go B in the draft.

I'd argue from a pure NFL prospect perspective the LSU/Ole miss game is it. Day 1 and day 2 prospects on the oline and dline for both teams, plus both have day 1/2 skill players and qbs. Hell even Ohio St has ole miss' RB.

South Carolina isn't good but the Kennard kid and Stewart kid they have on the dline are electric.

I could see Texas having issues with Oklahoma and simply winning because Oklahoma can't score to save themselves.

I also think that Colorado v ksu game could be sneaky good.
