I sure don't know who loved these guys or who hated them, but for me, cast me in the Loved them column. When I was a teen, they had a show in NY, on TV at about 4 PM or 4:30, with a fellow named Officer Joe Bolton, where they used to show the Three Stooges 2 reelers. I used to run home from school to watch these every day.

In case you weren't a fan and just want to know more about them, here is a great read, and if you were a huge fan, this will bring back some terrific memories.

I have been a huge Stooges fan over the years and knew just about everything in the article. Curley was the driving influence and I really didn't love them as much without him. To this day I will only watch Curley reruns.

The real question is what is the answer to this clickbait?

Definitely clickbait as I simply had to look it up..lol

From usatape.com: "The black diamonds which appear every 19 3/16" on metal tape measures are for spacing I-beam "timbers." Several wood-product manufacturers offer I-beam "timbers" as a substitute for solid lumber floor joists. The diamond marks on tape rule blades are for spacing these engineered floor joists in new construction"

Now if I just knew what an I-Beam timber was  :doh:
The joke I told yesterday was so funny that,
apparently, HR wants to hear it tomorrow  :laugh:

That doesn't make sense. I Beams, I Beam Tinders and Lam Beams for a floor joist should be 4-6 inches apart.

I know what steel I-beams are and have used them. Not a clue what an I-beam timber is  :-??
Timber implies wood and if a log was trimmed down in the shape of an "I", it would be weaker than just using a square or even round beam.

Regardless, again I am back to researching because I need an answer to this (Sorry Lenn...kind of gotten way off the Three Stooges line of thought). So I dug and this is what I found

1 - an "I-beam timber" is just a 12" plank. There is no "I" shape to it
2 - the spacing is due to the width of a standard sheet of plywood. The spacing allows the plywood to reach the next beam while leaving enough for the next piece of plywood to overhang and be screwed to the beam

BTW:
.45M = 17.71654"
2.0M = 78.7402
Standard plywood is 48" X 96" so it doesn't make sense to me  :-??

I wonder if regular contractors use this method. I know when I built a deck once, I certainly didn't

I beam joists look like steel I beams but are made with 2x4 on top and bottom and press board for the middle.

Back to the Stooges. I was a huge fan (and still am). I also remember watching the show with Officer Joe Bolton after school. I've read more than a few things on the trio with some differing "facts", but no matter which is correct, they made me laugh and I loved it.
One story I will pass along as to Larry Fine's addition to the group....when looking for the third member, Ted Healy, Shemp & Moe went to see Fine's act where he told jokes and played the violin. They loved it and made him an offer to join - become part of the Three Stooges for $20/week. $25 if he promised not to play the violin!!
I don't know if that's true or not, but it sure is a great story!
