One thing that I considered a positive in the Schoen era (not ideal as an info-hungry fan, but great in terms of gaining competitive advantage) was just how tightly NYG held on to information.  Draft picks nearly always come as surprises, and few, if any, beat writers (or other insiders) were breaking big-time stories of what was going on in the offices at 1925 Giants Way.   Obviously the whole Wink drama played out far too publicly

Yet when it came to their new DC hire, the Shane Bowen hire came as a complete surprise to the beat writers and others.   Most of the beat writers were strongly predicting Henderson would be the hire (especially after the Giants 2 top picks were off the board).

We are back to a situation where we have no clue what is going on with Schoen and company until they make a move.

I read in the NY Post the other day (on the pay side), that the Giants had targeted Shane Bowen all along and was high on their list. World's best kept secret. I suspect during his interview he was told to tell no one of this meeting. Schoen lets the press have their fun by spewing all kinds of rumors, conspiracies, and other stuff throughout the media world, and he just laughs
The joke I told yesterday was so funny that,
apparently, HR wants to hear it tomorrow

When did they first interview him?
