I'd hardly think of Ross as a Giants castoff as he was the Bengals 9th overall pick in 2017 and played- when not injured- for them through 2020 before they realized it that they would be spending good money after bad, and so let Gettleman play the fool. That turned out to be for just one year as Ross decided to sit out the next two.

So how did that all happen, we might wonder? I guess if you follow a strong Junior season with a record 4.22-second 40-yard dash in the "Underwear Olympics", folks will be ready to discount the torn ACL and Labrum suffered while at UW which as we now know were a portent to foot, knee, and shoulder injuries as a pro. And in a touch of irony, he actually strained his calves on his record-breaking Combine run.

Okay, so the Eagles sign him after a 2-year hiatus- Pourquoi? Para qué? Hmm! Could be that 4.22/40, ya think? Those giving it thought, seem to imagine that Siriani & Co. see him as all the more attractive now as a kickoff and punt returner given the new special teams rules changes. That is, of course, if he can stay heathy.

Cheers!
