So after listening to that, how would you rate Daniel Jones in basic fundamentals, timing of drop to the Receiver's Route, and creative skills to make something happen when the play breaks down? Scale of 1-10 compared to the QB's discussed of Brady, Brees and Tua, and Mahomes, Allen and Jackson. I know that is not a fair comparison but it puts him in perspective. Then rate him from your own evaluation of your expectations of a QB.

This is a huge assignment.  I would have to go and rewatch Greg and develop his criteria.  Then I would have to go back to 2022, when DJ had a poor but workable support system, and see how he does.  Anything short of that, and I am just pulling numbers out of my butt.   I could also do 2023, but I think there reached a point where DJ was shell-shocked (between the record-bad pressure and the serious neck injury he suffered).   

I will say that Greg has done his homework on DJ and has repeatedly said that DJ has the tools to be a good QB in the NFL.  However, this year, he added that he thought that DJ was lacking in pocket awareness.  While I have nothing but the utmost respect for Greg (both for his knowledge and his intellectual honesty), I am not sure I fully agree with him.  I can remember many plays in the past where DJ negated pressure with movement and made the play.   I believe when it comes to in-the-pocket movement, you need to have somewhere to move to, a luxury that DJ didn't enjoy much this past season. 

When I have time,I will try and do what you suggested.

Lets hope you were all correct. who claim it wasn't him, it was his surrounding cast

At least we will all sleep better knowing that when the cast improves we have a dynamite QB onboard.

Then and only then, Jones slides around that pocket like Fred Astaire and always goes through his progressions. Gulp

owner does not drop his man-crush

I have a challenge for you.  Claiming the owner has a man crush on Daniel Jones is pretty bold.  What factual evidence do you have to support this rather extreme assertion?

I think a fundamental trait for success is having amazing field of vision to see WRs plus pressure and as the pressure is bearing down on you having the courage to stay there and conviction to make the throw.

I think DJ is missing some of those things.
