I haven't listened to the entire podcast but it's clear that he communicates well and has vast up to date knowledge of the game. His personality is much different than Daboll's. He's being groomed to be a HC. Next year this time he will be a HC somewhere. Maybe even here. His promotion was not just to keep him, but it also served as a shot over Daboll's head.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Interesting take. How optimistic are you about the Giants offense this year?

I get the point that his skill set may be more suited for being a HC than a coordinator, but I still really struggle to see him being one of the 32 head coaches in this league if his last job was a non-play calling offensive coordinator (ie not that high impact of a coach) on a below average, if not poor, offense.

I could be wrong here obviously, but I think the Giants would need to have some real success on the offensive side of the ball and he'd need to somehow be a verifiable big contributor to that to have a realistic shot of being hired by another team as a head coach. And it's hard to feel a lot of optimism about this offense this season.
