He has been the playing center in place of JMS

At the rate things are going with Schmitz, Van Roten may begin the season as the starting center.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Why is Evan Neal not on this unoffical depth chart ?

I thought it might be because he is injured but JMS is on it.

Neal is on PUP, so he is not on the active roster.  JMS is on the active roster but not practicing, due to injury
