Usually do the pregame thoughts on game day, but it's a summer weekend, so figured I'd get them out now before you're all at a beach/pool tomorrow morning:

• Daboll seemed to have a regular season level of intensity in his brief media session before Thursday's practice, which was a game-prep practice. Think they're viewing this game as a big measuring stick for their preparation level for the season.

• Along those lines, I'm expecting the starters to play the first half tomorrow (I wouldn't even be shocked if they play into the early third quarter).

• Daniel Jones has looked so good physically this summer that his return to game action doesn't seem like a big deal. The only thing I'm curious about is how willing he is to run. He's taken off plenty in practice, so I'd assume he won't hesitate in a game.

• We'll see if the DL pecking order takes shape. Ryder Anderson has been the third DL with Dexter Lawrence and Rakeem Nunez-Roches in the base. Elijah Chatman has been the second DL with Lawrence on passing downs. Are they locked into those roles?

I know Shane Bowen teased potentially using Azeez Ojulari as the fourth rusher on passing downs. I don't see it. They haven't done it once in camp and I don't see any of the top three edge rushers profiling as interior rushers.

• This is a huge opportunity for Nick McCloud to seize the CB2 job in a matchup with arguably the best WR corps in the league.

On the other side, the Giants will get a look at CB Kamari Lassiter, who was a coveted target in the second round but went off the board five picks before them.

• It's unfortunate that rookie Dru Phillips (ankle) will likely miss this game. Facing Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell in the slot would have been a great test.

Isaiah Simmons has been playing a lot of slot with Phillips out. Curious to see if they can play him against that type of slot WR. David Long has been the other first-team slot corner this week.

• Will be interested to see Tyler Nubin's playing time. Does he mix in with Jason Pinnock/Dane Belton with the first-team defense? He started getting some first-team reps this week.
