Giants' defensive snap counts from yesterday (sorry for the microscopic font, preseason PT...):

• Ryder Anderson was the third DL in the base defense alongside Dexter Lawrence and Rakeem Nunez-Roches. We'll see how long he's sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Elijah Chatman got first-team reps on passing downs. Drew a hold and had the tremendous hustle play chasing down the RB. I think he has a spot locked in at this point, but he was playing into the fourth quarter. They likely wanted a long look at him to confirm.

Would not be surprised if there's a DL claim post cut day.

• Bobby Okereke leading all starters in snaps was interesting. Even when all of other top starters were removed during the second quarter, Okereke remained on the field for a 12-play drive. Maybe he wanted the conditioning as he preps to play every snap again.

The LB depth is a concern with Micah McFadden (hip) and Matthew Adams (groin) leaving yesterday's game. Carter Coughlin should be back this week after missing extended time with a quad injury.

• David Long was a surprise DNP. He was splitting first-team slot corner reps with Isaiah Simmons during the week. No word yet on why he didn't play.

Breon Borders and Tre Hawkins were the second-team corners ahead of Darnay Holmes. Not looking good for Holmes to stick around for a fifth season.

• Tyler Nubin replaced Dane Belton at safety on the defense's second series. Nubin and Belton then played together on the third series. Like the rest of the starters, Nubin didn't play in the second half. Seems like it's only a matter of time before he unseats Belton as the starter next to Jason Pinnock.

Giants' offensive snap counts from yesterday:

• Eric Gray got four snaps with the first-team offense, Devin Singletary got the rest. Mentioned yesterday that Dante Miller not playing was interesting. Again, may have been just resting his hamstring, but also wonder if they're trying to hide him.

• Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt having an even split is indicative of where things stand at WR3. Slayton is the better WR right now, but they're going to give Hyatt a shot to earn that role.

Malik Nabers was on the field for all but three snaps with the starters. Indicative of how much he'll play this season. Wan'Dale Robinson only played in 3-WR sets, as expected.

The next crop of WR was Isaiah Hodgins, Allen Robinson and Isaiah McKenzie. McKenzie has the inside track on the returner job with Gunner Olszewski's groin injury. Myles Boykin didn't play an offensive snap but he's making the team as a special teamer. The question is if they keep six or seven WR.

• Theo Johnson was TE1 yesterday. Chris Manhertz was on the field whenever the starters were in 12 personnel. He's basically a sixth OL. Daniel Bellinger got a handful of snaps at fullback. Jakob Johnson played eight snaps at FB with the backups a day after signing. Interested to see how he fits into the puzzle.

• John Michael Schmitz only played the first three series. Have to figure he was on a pitch count after just returning to practice last week.

Who's the swing tackle right now? I'd say Josh Ezeudu, who played LT with the backups. Daboll said he's hoping that Evan Neal can play in the preseason finale against the Jets.

Yodny Cajuste injured his foot on his lone snap. Ouch.
