The young secondary is rounding out and I hope will be a strength next season. The Giants are 3 positions away from competing; unfortunately, 2 of those positions are the most critical in the nfl.  Still, I think we're closer to competing than we were a few years ago.

We won't know about Nubin for a few weeks since he missed a lot of camp but if him, Nabers, and Phillips pan out I'll feel a lot better about schoen. That assumes JMS and Banks continue to get better.

If those three pan out to be NFL top level starters, that helps in the rebuilding. It limits the positions of need down a bit to front interior defensive line and of course, QB as the biggest needs as of now going into next year.
