 The Giants are already 'stuck' with his huge salary. If we could trade him for a draft pick we could still pay part of most of the salary and gain that draft pick.
Sure we could do that after t he season is over, but he may be of more value, as you say, to a team who might need a starting QB in a hurry.

Of course, it will never happen, not with Mara's love for him.
