Off topic- So I bought tickets last second since my son got player of the game in his first flag football game on Saturday  <:-P

As a proud dad moment I bought us some good tickets in section 118.... I was a little lit drinking 9.5% victories prior ..... it could have been that ... but I thought the fans were great last night .... We yelled the whole game

Anyways back on topic ... but man what a waste of a great defensive game ..... if you would've told me prior that we held Joe Burrow to 17 points and his only TD was on his legs I would've said that's a WIN hands down

The defense though man .... Kept us on the game .... But DJ, the offense and fken Joseph let us down .... When does Gano come back ... Geezus

Why is Jones so terrible at home man .....getting home at 1am after a loss sucks

Defense I'm sorry .... But can you please keep this up to keep us in the game and pray DJ wakes up .... We desperately need Nabers back ...if DJ is going to go back in his shell

The defense is there. Dexter Lawrence has to be one of the front runners for DPOY, the edge rushers have been solid, the linebackers are good and while the secondary is young, they're holding their own. We're probably another CB and another solid DT away from being an elite defense.

As for last night, the offense owes them an apology. The D did everything you could hope for last night to hold down one of the best offenses in football and the offense just couldn't do anything.

Dex didn't stand out much last night (in my opinion)...I saw many times where they simply ran up the gut as Dex was pushing to the QB. Maybe the LBs are supposed to backfill the middle I don't know - but their RB and Burrow each had easy runs

We might have a top 5 defense this year, the way they are playing now after waking up.

Shame we failed them on offense.

Ojulari and Burns did all they could.

The good news is, the Giants have a VERY good young nucleus on defense starting to form.  Unlike the past decade, it's not all doom-and-gloom.  I continue to believe we're a two players away from being a top-tier team.

One more CB, maybe another DT and some depth on this roster, and they will then be a QB away.

The Receivers didn't get a lot of separation last night. I was disappointed in Hyatt in particular. I thought however that Jones went to the wrong target many times when there was another option open. Especially those short crossers and the Flat to Slayton. They should keep hitting WDR out of the backfield until someone figures out how to cover him. Joe Burrow had a good 76.6 Passer Rating with all the pressure he had on him. He pretty much won that game with Higgs. Two plays and the missed FG's killed the Giants. If they hit that first FG, they are just 7 down and driving.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Agreed on this defense.

I think they're 1 more elite player away from being dominant. Any position.

What they did to the Bengals doesn't happen against Joe Burrow. He gets the ball out quick and puts up a ton of points. He was on the short list for league MVP heading in. He couldn't get anything going, and almost got injured. Unusually tough day at the office for JB, who plays against some badass D's in the AFC North.

It's not being wasted.  It's being turned into a very solid unit.
