Quote from: MightyGiants on October 24, 2024, 11:53:24 AMThe current QB draft prospects are not looking good.   So if one expects that it will take at least another 2 or 3 years to be competitive, Dex will be near or at 29, an age men that size tend to start to break down.

I never really understood this "current QB draft prospects dont look good" Honestly, we never really know. The 2021 QB draft was supposed to be one of the best and all 4 QBs look like trash. Add 2019

How about for a 1st rounder to have two in a year to go get a QB?  I'd do that probably.

First thought is two 1st rounders.  Have to believe a team trying to get him thinks it's ready for a deep playoff run and picks are likely to be near the end of the round.

Not sure I would ever pull the trigger regardless of offer though. He is a rare player to have pass rush ability at his size and position.

They don't need to trade Dex to insure picking in the top 5.

There's likely to be one of two reasons why someone would suggest two No.1s, one of which is that you want to be sure it doesn't happen; the other is that you still have a couple of months left in rehab.  <:-P

They need two firsts to ensure they get their QB, not say the 3rd QB if there's a real drop off.

Any team that trades for Dex is going to be drafting later in round 1.  If the Giants are drafting out of the top-3, their own pick and something in the range of 25-32 is not going to move them up to 1 or 2.

If they are 6th-7th, I think it would to move up to say 1 or 2.  Am sure lower picks also would be included.

Disagree, but I guess it is all hypothetical as I doubt Dex is being moved.
