The reality is that, as of right now, there is only one QB in this upcoming class who is genuinely desirable, and even that QB is a bit of a wildcard. It's just not a good class. So I'm not sure there's much of a difference between ninth and, say, fourth. At least not as far as our future QB situation goes.

If the Giants don't have access to a QB in this draft that they feel strongly about, they should clearly still ditch Jones and just go with a cheap journeyman vet type who is much cheaper than Jones and wait a year.

I agree Jeff.  Get an top player at another position.

Wonder if there is a young QB maybe developing on a team but sitting on the bench who the Giants could trade for.

For those of you that follow college, how do you think JJ McCarthy ranks compared to next class? I think he was in play as the 4th qb last draft and would have been ok with drafting him. Obviously, I'm super happy with Nabers. At some point we have to turn the page on our qb future.  It's frustrating every year following tankathon once we are out of it to wait another year to build for the future
If the right qb is not there, I think Jones has a chance to come back on a one year reduced salary

I'm obviously no scout, but I feel like any of Sanders, Milroe, or Ward (my personal favorite) can all give us better play than we have gotten.

I won't get into the strength of the class, no one, fan or media reporter and anything inbetween will. Look at Trevor Lawrence as an example. But I feel all 3 of those guys would be an upgrade, but hopefully there is someone that they actually like, or feel strongly about woth conviction and get him. Otherwise I agree with getting a vet or two and just keep building.

After week 8 last season, 6 teams had 2 wins or less (packers were 2-5, all other 2 win teams were 2-6.  5 more teams were 3-5.  So, not THAT much off.  As Bobby Bowden once said about the National Championship problem if multiple teams were undefeated, "It sorts itself out."  After 16 weeks, you will start to see some separation.  Isaiah Simmons doesn't block that kick and maybe Seattle wins in OT.  Giants would then be in the #2 slot right now.

Almost makes you feel better we are this bad. theres some teams on there that were absolutely supposed to be very good teams this year.
