If Travy continues to perform at a high level, especially with a diminished line resulting from the Thomas injury, does that impact on the decision to basically let Barkley go.  If Tracy continues to perform at a high level, it would suggest Schoen knew what he was doing in terms of RB by committee.  Paying Tracy a rookie salary ad RB1 has the added benefit of cuttingSingletary next year with a nice savings bump.

The decision to let Barkley go was made months ago and can't be reversed. If Schoen felt Tracy could carry the load as a rookie and beyond, he would've drafted him in an earlier round. He probably felt better about Eric Gray last year because he drafted him in the 5th round.

Eric Gray is dead wood. Look, both decisions were right; Barkley signing with Philly, us letting him go. He has a chance for a good 2nd half of his career and we were not in a place where he'd flourish.
