The way Tyrone Tracy Jr. is playing, do you feel moving forward we need to draft a high rank RB prospect in the upcoming draft? Ashton Jeanty or Omarion Hampton are there when we pick in the 1st round should we go for it? Or pass and get the best player available when we pick? What if one of these guys are the "BPA" when we pick?

Before the 2024 draft, I thought QB, WR, RB were the most important (also CB and RG/RT) We had no true #1 WR and with Barkley leaving, we needed help with offensive weapons. Has Tyrone Tracy Jr. recent play, reduced your fear at the running back position? Are you ok moving forward to the 2025 as Tracy being RB#1?

I think drafting another RB makes sense next year, as we don't have much depth at the position, but Tracy is an example of why it is unnecessary to panic at this position.

I agree, Dave I don't think we need to get a running back in the first round or so ... A solid running back to say around three or later yes let's certainly get them but I think for now we're doing OK running back wise

I think a mid-round RB pick makes sense especially a big north-south pounder to complement Tracy's style.

4th round or later?  Sure, if a RB is the best player on the board when they are on the clock.

I wouldn't be surprised if the running back room is mostly the same next year. Tracy will obviously be back and same with Singletary assuming he's not traded. Gray is a bit of a wild card as he's a distant 3 on the depth chart but does return kicks. As someone else mentioned, I may look for a bigger, bruiser type of back to complement what we already have but I'd also look to find that on day 3 rather than day 1 or 2.

Not saying he is a better player, but Tracy is averaging 5.2 YPC, something Barkley never did for them for a season.  By no means does that mean I think he's better, but it does tell me that we don't need a first or second day draft pick on a RB.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

Why wouldn't we? Is there some sort of unwritten rule that if you have a decent rookie you don't draft that position again? Guys get hurt. This draft is really deep at running back. I'd much rather have two promising young backs than one.

Day 3 guy to add to the rotation but not higher. We will need a QB, T and CB days one and two plus Edge/DT depth subject to free agency. We also need a bigger WR to round out the group as BF-W is not it. Houston last season and Washington this have shown teams can turn around faster than we think with a suitable upgrade at QB.
If you live your life as a pessimist you never really live your life at all.

I don't think it's a priority. Day 3, if he's the best player on your board, sure.

Nothing before that - there's too many other holes.

You never do.  It is one thing if you already a "complete" team and the RB in question is better than anyone else on your board.  But, in that case you are likely drafting late in days 1 or 2.

I would still love to see a brushing type of back in the mold the Giants have seen in their last two opponents who wear you down and blow you apart at the end of games.

Is Brandon Jacobs' kid ready to play yet?

Peace!
