Quote from: Stringer Bell on November 03, 2024, 11:41:37 PMWe're currently picking 7th, with 4 teams ahead of us who need QBs and are just as bad - if not worse - than us. I highly doubt Ward is an option unless you plan to trade multiple firsts and a second - which would be a terrible move.

So based on who would actually be available when we pick, what's your brilliant plan?

Hey jackwagon why don't you actually go back and read my initial post instead of making a fool of yourself. I was clear as day. Better yet, don't respond I couldn't care less what a bad faith poster thinks.

Not trying to be sarcastic I just remember everyone was thrilled when he was selected.
They had an easy opportunity to get another great OL the year Gettleman traded down. Rashawn Slater was sitting there. He would've been a great right tackle and could've shifted to left tackle whenever Andrew Thomas gets hurt.

Instead they traded the pick for two bums Kadarius Toney and Evan Neal. No wonder we've been one of the worst franchises for so long.

Quote from: Stringer Bell on November 04, 2024, 08:17:55 AMExcellent post, kman! As these last 2 games have shown, this team can't just hope Thomas comes back and plays at his former level. Because if he doesn't - or he can't - it won't matter what QB is brought in. They will be doomed and shell shocked in no time.

One good thing about picking where we are likely to pick (5 to 7 range), is that we should have our pick of the top OT after a couple of QBs, the 2 stud CBs, and likely Mason Graham get selected in the top 5.

Seems Banks and Campbell are the 2 consensus top OTs. Both have elite pedigree and performed exceptionally well for top programs. Draft one of them, sign a stud FA guard to replace Van Roten, and then we have something to build around.

I like your plan! Let's go for it just like Parcells and Young rebuilt the O-Line in 1988 and 1989.

Peace!
