I didn't consider him a sideshow when he won more games as a starter than either of our other two quarterbacks. But if he wants to focus more on football than he did last season, I have no complaints about that either.

I am very skeptical about his talent...

I hope we play well...but I fear he'll help us win some games...while also proving to us he's NOT the future...

We'll see how we feel in January once the games are done and we learn our draft position...

I find Tommy to be a bit of a mystery.  TD doesn't possess elite arm talent and isn't particularly athletic.   Last season, he didn't turn the ball over, but he held on to the ball for too long.  He is 26, and he was undrafted last year.   He clearly gave the team a bit of spark last season when he came for the injured Tyrod Taylor.

I will confess, I have no idea what we will see from him come Sunday.  He could be impressive and lead the team to a win, or he could crash and burn.  Neither outcome would surprise me.

I'm hoping he has elevated his game so that he doesn't get spooked by inside pressure and get swallowed up because he didn't pull the trigger with any anticipation or hesitated to make the throw. I don't know what to expect either. I only know he seems to learn with experience.

You can make a case that the Giants won the three games with Devito at the helm, rather than saying Devito won those games. He was the recipient of 12 turnovers and two wins came against the two worst teams in the league. On the other hand, the team faced Dallas, Buffalo, San Fran and the Rams with Jones at the helm. The offensive line was in shambles and on pace to set a NFL record for sacks, hits and hurries.

Sure DeVito had more victories than Jones in 2023 but you should compare the quality of opponents, the huge turnover margin and the improved offensive line as factors.

We have to keep that in mind with Jones too and how he feasted, year on year, against a a number of woeful commanders teams too.

That same consideration for the quality of Minnesota's 31st-ranked defense wasn't given when you guys propped up Jones's performance against them, now was it?
