Can you guys really see Kafka as an NFL head coach? Maybe it's just shyness, but he seems scared of his own shadow in any kind of group situation.

OCs who don't call their own plays rarely get HC gigs. It's what's holding Eric Bienemmy back. I know he is not in KC anymore but Reid calls all the plays there.

Pat Traina did hit the nail on the head in that from her vantage point, Daboll has these guys ill prepared to start the season and when you are 2-3 games behind the 8 ball things can just snowball

Quote from: TDToomer on November 30, 2024, 11:54:43 AMVegas summers are as miserable as NJ winters. NYC has far more to offer than a bunch of casinos in the desert. You can day trip to AC or Foxwoods for that and still live around a world class city with millions of things to do. Higher cost of living doesn't factor why your are making millions. Plus players know that Vegas doesn't have a real fan base. Depending on the opponent there are sometimes more road fans.

So why don't you live in LV if it is so great?

Donny,

I'll tell you what, the older I get the more I am considering moving when I retire.   I hate snow and am no fan of cold weather.  Plus, in retirement, my fixed income will go further elsewhere.

But why should it matter to millionaire football players who are clearly not on a fixed income, still wealthy after taxes and cost of living are hardly a concern. I would think being in the best football situation is what matters to them.

Donny,

I have heard that the higher taxes and higher cost of living impact the team in two areas.   First, the Giants are not known for their generous pay for their assistant coaches, so that matters.   The second is the state income tax could end up costing a player millions on a contract.   So when the Giants are competing for players, that is a disadvantage compared to teams in states without income tax.
