Evan Neal is screaming to be tried at RG next offseason. As an emergency RT his pass block grades have varied between atrocious and average but his run block grades have varied between average and exceptional. PFF grades have their flaws but the eyeball test tends to align. There is an NFL starter in him, just likely not at T.
If you live your life as a pessimist you never really live your life at all.

Philosophers

I feel like coaches see trees but not the forest.  Clearly Neal is an OT failure.  Why not try him at Guard?  Why is that not obvious to the coaching staff?

It's probably why he did well his rookie year when they were a run first offense.   Having AT on the other side helped him too.

Regarding Daboll/Schoen:

Which of these two doesn't want to try Neal at Guard?...it's painfully obvious he should try.

This is yet another topic to analyze when deciding if Dabs/Schoen must go or both?
