I have several friends from Boston , some are Patriots season ticket holders . They told me there are no rumors or any evidence that the Bills will tank their game Sunday so the Patriots would not get the first round pick. Of course they won't play Allen .

Here in NY , we read or hear  that the Eagles might tank the game so the Giants will fall in the draft.

Has anyone heard anything about the Bills situation ?

I don't think that any of those playoffs-bound teams will do anything other than what it feels will benefit its chances to move on. If its decisions as to whom to play and whom to sit happens to benefit the opponent without hindering its own position, I think that's we should expect.

At this point, many Bills' starters are expected to sit; however, Josh Allen, who has a consecutive start streak of 114 games, is expected to start the game.

The Bills have locked into the AFC #2 seed, regardless how the game plays out while New England sits at the bottom of the AFC East division, as well as holding the #1 slot for the 2025 NFL draft at this time.

One thing to keep an eye out for is that the Pats traditionally play the Bills tough in Foxborough. Drake Maye is expected to start for the Pats and who knows what may come in this technically meaningless game. I certainly do not suspect Maye feels the game is meaningless in any way. Despite being listed as Questionable with a right hand injury, Maye is excited at the opportunity to play the Bills:

"I'm ready to go out there and win and compete in a close game. I want to be out there," Maye said. "You get experiences in these close games that you can't replicate in practice. You can't get those reps anywhere else."

So, there you have it. If you are looking for any hope the Pats might be able to pull one out here, as long as Maye's hand is up for it, the answer is "why not?"

I guess they didn't take notice of what Coughlin used to do nor did they notice all the college teams with a bye had lost.

I think the notion that the Eagles would purposely lose this game directed from management to stick it to the Giants is fan fiction. But if it is from a credible source on the Eagles side then the league will have to investigate and penalize the franchise.

I think the circumstances are different.  They need to keep Barkley's legs fresh.  He was key to the Giants 2022 playoff win but it was too much to ask the following week against Eagles on less than a full week's rest.  The Coughlin Giants succeeded with RB rotations.
