I certainly do. I chose Files58 as my group name, because he was a symbol of everything that went wrong during that Dark Age. He was a good and emerging player who decided to quit football and enter the ministry. I thought it was apropos to the time. If you don't know my given name is Alan. Feel free to use it.

Alan,

That is my middle name and my father's name.   All the years we have been posting together I never knew the story behind your screen name.

Alan @files58 , I sometimes wonder how the real Jim Files felt about The Wilderness Years Giants. I suspect the same as you although he might have come across in a more biblical interpretation ...

"To Sodom and Gomorrah with the owners!!!"  >:D

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

Rosehill Jimmy

I remember him as a pretty good LB on some atrocious teams

This is what WE as Giants fans NOW need to remember.... Our "dads" spoke of these men. We watched our dads cheer for these men. WE as todays Giants fans need to remember these men and strive to place our current Giants in the same category where warranted - but most importantly we need to teach our kids what it means to be Giants fans.

Thank you Files58
