None of these QBs are screaming sure fire picks that will be great NFL QBs. The second round and third round QBs are equivalent to the first round QBs in this draft the reality who is doing the best hype job. Honestly I don't see any difference between Cam Ward and McCord. I don't see much if any difference between Sanders and Dart. If you look at their numbers they are all similar. It's all huge, hype and more hype. Giants shouldn't even bother taking a QB until round two. Take the best player which I think is a toss up between Carter and Hunter. I'm for defense in this draft. I have always said this I don't want this regime picking a QB because they will be fired next year and we start the carousel of needing their QB all over again.

I agree with you . If SChoen does this, it would rank as  the second stupidest thing he has done as the Giant GM.

Exactly. We should take Carter or Hunter and build the team. Get a bridge Vet (Winston) and if a QB slides to the 2nd round get him. Next year we will ahve a top pick. Get our QB then

I have already commented on this topic, but as we now are on Page 3 and seem even firmer in our convictions, I wonder if we aren't a bit too close-minded and sure of ourselves.

For example, how sure are we that from among Ward, Sanders, and/or Dart none will prove worthy of the Giants pick wherever it may occur short of a trade up? And how sure can we be that otherwise we will be in position next year to take whichever QB we want assuming a greater abundance of talent?

In that regard, we seem certain that because of a challenging schedule this season Our Heroes will have pick-of-the-litter in next year's Draft irrespective of any sort of improved QB play via a veteran "Bridge" and/or overachieving Draftee- not to mention broader team improvement.

I guess as fans of a team which has been luckless and feckless for the past decade with a less than optimistic view of the present, we have little choice but to be fanciful about the future. That said, that's how it should be; we shouldn't want it to be any other way but forever hopeful. Big Blue Hurdlers? Naw! Forget I said that. Or blame it on a Soupy Bowl Sunday disposition.
