Philly is licking its chops over this guy falling in their lap.

the rich getting richer while the incompetent continue to blunder  ~X(
From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

I said it when this was first reported - if I were the Lions I would be on the phone with the Browns GM immediately

I know very little about how the Cap works when players are traded but I read something recently that said something to the effect that the Browns would be destroyed if they traded Garrett because of the way money was moved forward in his contract.  That plus what they owe the QB suggests he's not being traded

I just took a look at it and unless I am mistaken l, they could actually save cap money with a trade.

Personally I think they don't want to trade the best defender in the NFL in his prime, which I totally get.

@nb587

A straight up trade would create a roughly $16 million extra cap hit.  If they do a post-June trade, they could save some money on the cap (about $5 million)
