I am surprised myself, as I thought he never played, but both ESPN and Pro Football Reference list him as being in 13 games.

Toney was a headcase and I thought he milked his injuries when he didn't get his way and Brightwell just wasn't very good.

Not much else to say other than crafts like this are why we are where we are.

Good lord..how freaking awful was that? Monkees or beagles could have done better selecting players..and Toney was a trade down..unreal..that's where it all starts and ends with this pathetic franchise..that is so loved by its fans and so dumbfounded at their duplicity  ..

Hey spiderblue, has anyone ever told you of your resemblance to a younger John Tortorella ??  As least that is how your pic hit me.

If you were deliberately trying to screw up a draft it would be hard to 'improve' on Gettleman's 2021 effort. Following it with Schoen's less than stellar 2022 draft largely explains our continuing reliance on free agency to address depth issues across the roster. Schoen at least had the partial excuse of limited time to prepare, no familiarity with our scouts and a limited network at GM level at that time. Gettleman was firmly established.

And sadly, given the amount of picks from the trade, it was a big opportunity to change the direction of the franchise.
