If they really like Shedeur, and/or Ward, and they go 1-2, then all they have on the roster is DeVito if they didn't bring anyone in. What if they sign with another team already or before that point?

That leaves us with Joe Flacco, Trey Lance, and the bottom of the barrel. It would leave us in a tight spot. They have to go into the draft being able to field a full team, which they have more or less accomplished.

If they DO dislike the QB class as a whole, then theres that but in any scenario, they had to sign someone, it wasn't really an option unless #1 overall was secured. So I don't think there is any indication really, I think its just pundits and mock drafters just looking for something to say honestly.

That is a fair point about Sanders potentially not being there.  I guess that is certainly one way of looking at things.

Winston is the only QB on contract next year, and he is no spring chicken either. I can see if they signed him to a 3 or 4 year contract, but they didn't.

Their approach to FA alone demonstrates they are staying true to his word, that he isn't throwing a hail mary for self preservation. They will handle the draft the same way. And it is surely possible they dont like the QBs, and pass, but it isnt ruled out by any means.

You don't pass on a potential long term player because to patched a hole with duct tape.

They won't be around to play him if they win 3 games again.  You have a potential day 1 Pro Bowler on your doorstep...it's awfully tough to pass on that for a guy who will never see the field when your job is on the line.  I agree if they think Sanders is great it's best for the Giants that they take him, but I don't think that what they've done this offseason, specifically signing both Wilson and Winston, indicates that they're too worried about 2026 and beyond right now.  Which comes from Mara essentially telling them that HE doesn't much care about 2026 and beyond right now either.
