It was gratifying to hear Emory tout Korie Black.

Nobody around here pays much attention to the Big 12 (except maybe @Jclayton92) but that guy is a better prospect than the round in which he was drafted.

In fact, my overall grade for the draft went up a notch from "hell, yeah!" to "wow!!!" when they picked him. It's no guarantee he'll succeed but I have long believed he was at least a 4th-rounder. I'd appreciate it if anyone knows something about him I missed (which caused him go so low... level of competition?).

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

A position battle with Tre Hawkins?

I guess that's about right, but more broadly speaking, when was the last time we got to consider the fact that a few very solid prospects may not be able to make it with our team? Bob

Yeah I think he is in a battle for boundary corner 4 with Hawkins, Fortune, and Art Green. I know I keep mentioning it but Flott is hella underrated! Not only did he really come along at the end of last season but his inside outside versatility really helps us a lot with roster spots and depth quality.

The two spots on defense that I was really concerned about were backup boundary besides Flott and 3rd safety. I know people say Belton, but hes not it to me, he's a sub package player.

I like the young talent at boundary-

Art Green 6'1, 200lb, 4.36 40, 11 int in 4-5 years in college.

The Fortune kid from South Carolina, and now Black have talent.

But I would like to see us add at both positions on the waiver wire at cut downs. The 3rd safety is a huge thing in the NFL today and imo Anthony Johnson and Belton aren't good enough currently. I really liked the Owens kid last year that fell off the PS.

Any depth concerns you have on defense right now?

A long time. Maybe he beats out Flott as backup Slot.
