I love Post-Apocalyptic movies. I don't totally agree with this list.

The Matrix should be #1 followed by I am Legend and Zombieland.

Sem

Mad Max
Escape From New York
Eraserhead

What list?

I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

If I had to name a few, my best #1 choice has to be the original

Planet of the Apes
Mad Max movies (any of the original ones)
12 Monkeys
Children of Men
The Road
The Matrix

Might also add WALL=E

I would add The Terminator series also, but really, that is not post but more a futuristic view.

1) The Terminator Blew me away when I first watched it
2) The Book of Eli (Denzel Washington is superb. Mila Kunis doesn't hurt...LOL)
3) Planet of the Apes (the original with Linda Harris as my teenage heart throb, "Nova")
4) Twelve Monkeys
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

The Omega Man with Charleton Heston isn't on the list but I really liked that movie.

Escape From LA over Escape From NY? That's sheer lunacy.

Planet of the Apes - yep.

12 Monkeys? Yep, forgot about that one. Directed by Monty Python's Terry Gilliam if I remember correctly.

Omega Man / I Am Legend - classics.

No one mentions The Book of Eli...maybe because it didn't get that much fanfare in the media. For post-apocalyptic, it's dang good...and I'm not a fan of that type of movie
