Am I the only one who thinks a 4 hour plus Super Bowl is too long?

I don't have a problem with the NFL spending a few minutes bringing awareness to devastating situations that are no longer making the rounds in the news cycle. At least it shows that the owners aren't completely heartless and greedy. The average 30-second spot during the SB was 7 million. Maybe some of that money will find its way to help those in need.

That's why I said maybe they (the owners) will be contributing money to the victims without asking for the public's help.

I hadn't heard about the Alyssa Milano fundraiser issue.  Although I wonder how many of the people shaming Alyssa haven't burdened their own family and coworkers with fund raisers for their own children (while no doubt enjoying luxuries themselves)

I saw the story on her and found some of the remarks to be interesting. It seems the consensus was that she didn't need the money, but because of her wealth, her child's sports teams, travel expenses, food bills, etc., had always been picked up by her because the rest of the parents just let her foot the bill. She was sick of them not pitching in to pay for the expenses involved in raising their own children. Don't know if that's true...nor do I even care...but it makes sense that people will take advantage of someone with money if they can get away with it

I have no problem with it...of course I'm retired, so there's that. It's the culmination of the greatest sporting competition in the U.S., so the final event of the season is going to be over the top. What I don't care for, is the hours of hype leading up to the game. And I always look forward to the half-time show/spectacle to see if the latest entertainer can outdo the last one. I thoroughly enjoyed it and even got to see Alicia Keys playing an outrageous piano. I've always liked her and think she's one of the sweetest people on the planet. And I had no idea Usher was so athletically talented, especially singing while spinning and dancing in roller skates - that blew my mind

All in all, it was a good night for me...and I always appreciate a close game. There's been years when it's such a blowout that the game totally sucks. Not this year

I guess if and when it's ever an 18 game season, the Super Bowl can be played on Presidents Day weekend, meaning students and most working people on the East coast won't have to worry as much about what time they finally get to bed that night. Obviously that won't shorten the amount of time the event lasts, but it will at least be less of an issue the next day for a reasonable chunk of the country.

Kind of, yeah. I always remember the story about Tom Brady falling asleep in the locker room before Super Bowl XXXVI because it took so long for the game to start.
