This NFL Analyst thinks the Giants could be a really sneaky 2nd place team in the NFC East. His whole thought process is that the Giants bench Jones and Lock leads the way to a few quality wins.

If you ignore the qb aspect, how do you think the division shakes out this season?

It may be unoriginal, but I still see it as Eagles first, Dallas second. I think to put the Giants or Commanders above either of those two teams is to really ignore roster depth and talent gaps and make a major longshot prediction.

I could see the Giants sneaking ahead of the cowboys if they collapse. You are correct though it's a little to early but what would you say are the biggest factors for each team?

1. Dallas- probably the lack of additions this offseason. They basically signed no one or dak being in a contract year.

2. Philly- probably the oline post kelce and the revamped rookie secondary.

3. Commanders- What Kingsbury does for Daniels, they could either be dangerous or pedestrian.

4. Giants- the oline and Jones

Good summary.

I agree that Dallas may decline a bit this year, but the gulf between our team and theirs last year was downright cavernous. Just look at the times we played them. They outscored us 89-17 head to head.

So even if we improve somewhat and they decline somewhat, I think they're still very likely to be better than us this season.

Much like Daboll's first year, I see this team being anywhere from the top 5 in the draft to a playoff team.  So many variable from coaching to the O-line, to the DBs, to the QB etc

I think we will top the Division, Eagles 2nd, Dallas 3rd, Commanders no too commanding but they will be in it until the end

Very even Division, anyone can win and that has always been the case of this Division

Rarely does a Division winner repeat

Can't wait to see Eagles and Barkley vs the Giants....should be very telling

The Giants have been unable to block the Cowboys on either side of the line of scrimmage. That has been the tell-tale sign why this has been a one-sided series. Until this changes, expect more of the same, period. You can pretty much make the same claim against the Eagles as well.

Peace!

Well said.  They simply have more top end talent and much more depth the latter of which fans always forget the importance of.

President Rick

dallas needs to sign [ or lose] cee dee lamb, parsons and dak. If they lose 1-2 of them, they're weaker.  if they sign them, their cap will be maybe 70-80 mil for just the three of them.  yikes
