How do you feel about the direction of the team

We have shown absolutely no signs of getting sustainably better since the dreaded Gettleman era. We have a bottom five and perhaps bottom three QB room in the league as it stands right now, we still have yet to solve (or even demonstrably improve) our O line situation, we have not brought in quality free agents that have meaningfully panned out, some of our draft picks look highly questionable at best (particularly O line picks), our D has some nice young players but has yet to function at a high level as a unit, and there are some question marks with our coaching staff.

I like Schoen and still believe in him, which is why I hold him to a high standard and am therefore "somewhat disappointed" with his results so far. I don't see how any fan with any standards could be content or encouraged by what was put on the field last season in our new GM's third season in the job. Meanwhile we are going to take a $47mm cap hit on a QB who had a 70 QB rating and threw for two TDs in six games last year before getting seriously injured for for the fourth time in five seasons in the National Football League.

"Somewhat disappointed" is frankly generous. This is a team whom I watched win four Super Bowls in my lifetime to this point, and I'm not even 50 yet. They have been a dumpster fire for a decade, and it needs to change.

Well put but depressing narrative.   Sometimes you just have to believe in magic.  Who knows what this team will do.  They are an enigma. Lets hope for the best.

Our only hope is Jones either loosens up and plays like he probably can if he just lets the leather sling
OR sad to say but he quickly gets benched or IR'd.  At that point, I would prefer seeing what Drew or Tommy can do to be honest

Maybe just maybe we develop a real solid running game.  The young D backs play at a high level.....the front 7 bring it.....the WRs are the best on paper group Ive ever seen on a Giant team.

If Daboll truly calls the plays I hope he knows what he is doing, and is creative and bold.

This team could make the playoffs or loose every game- a true enigma if there ever was one.

I believe the line Mara used was something to the effect of- It looks like you are giving up on the season

Happy? No. Do I feel better, a bit more optimistic about the team's ability to compete this year than I did at this point last year? No, because I mistakenly thought that last year would reflect at least some of the gains made in 2022. How foolish was that?

While I could name certain players and positions where I anticipate improvement, this season's outcome for better or worse, will depend almost singularly on the health, ability, and performance of The Elephant in the.... Daniel Jones- things which will impact the future far beyond this year.

I will, of course, be no less supportive, will root as hard as ever, and be ever hopeful, but happy is not a word I would choose at this time and in that regard.

Cheers!
