Okay! You win. He's too fat. At least, we know that going from 350 (or more?) to a Combine 337 lb. weight did nothing to justify anything like his 1st Round- forget top-10-pick. How the hell did the Giants miss something so obvious, so simple? Kinda scary, huh?

Cheers!

Looks like he cut weight/added lean muscle last offseason (see article from last July).

Given how his 2023 season ultimately went, it would seem his problems run considerably deeper than this.

Consider that @Painter quoted his 337 Combine weight and then consider the weights cited in your article:

QuoteNeal seemed to indicate that he had been around 360 pounds at times last year, and said he finished the year at 353 pounds. He said he weighed in at 345 pounds this week.

We have both been around long enough to know that guys with weight issues have a certain risk factor when drafting them

ultimately Evans is SLOW- Slow to react, slow period.....you cannot leave that guy on an island

they run right past him

make him guard or cut him period

Risk factor? When is there not given the Draft's rueful success rate. In any case, I don't recall his weight having been an issue until you decided it was. But at least you will have helped the Giants solve their current RT dilemma which you haven't been quite able to do with their Ronnie Barnes problem of now nearly 45 years.

Cheers!
