The Giants need to figure out how to score first more often

Rich: Yes, this is the concept to which I refer as "amateur hour."

A true professional begins his work/job at the highest possible level within the range of professionalism. If Perry Mason began a trial performing like a law-student and didn't get up to speed until the trial was about half over, would you hire him as your counsel?

The Giants have been suffering from "amateur hour" syndrome for many years. Even Eli had the problem, by the way, and it's not always 100 percent the fault of the players. Bad coaches and play callers can start a game poorly, predictably or inappropriately and ruin things for their players.
