How much work do you want D Jones to get this preseason
We know that last year wasn't enough
But with his timing looking to be off in camp
Why not some of game 2 and half time of game 3 to fix things or just see how far we are behind

Jones seemed to be used a bit sparingly in the preseason last year. He and the whole offense then looked horrible in week one.

I appreciate the other QBs need to get reps but I would advocate Jones getting as many reps in preseason games as possible. I don't think he's one of these QBs who you can just not play in the preseason and not worry about them.

It's a balancing act. He needs reps but coming off that injury and having to rush him back puts him at risk. A season ending injury in preseason cooks the team financially as well as on the field.

with Daboll calling the plays, he may want  more PS time.  In fact, isn't this now the umteenth change in coaching [not literally the man but who's doing what with the O ]  and the situation for Jones?

Unless DJ has a drastic turnaround in camp. The more PS games the better.  That said, next week and the week after that, they will have joint practices with the Lions and the Jets.  Those should be beneficial to DJ, nearly as much as PS games (minus the hits and tackles)
SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

Not sure about the answer but it would surprise me if we see Jones out there with any OL who are not guaranteed to make the team

Hard to come back from an ACL and play at a high level until at least a year from surgery. Why should DJ be the exception when so many others have struggled?
