Quote from: Painter on September 14, 2024, 01:15:06 PMYou think that might that be their plan, Andrew? Or should I say, "Concept of a plan"?

Cheers!

Larry: I customarily (with good cause) give you the benefit of the doubt, but in this case (from the tenor of your post) I'm not sure you're aware that the remark to which you're referring was actually a clever dig at La-La Land based on Woody Allen's famous (to me, anyway) snide remark directed at the movie industry: "Right now it's only a notion, but I think I can get the money to make it into a concept, and later turn it into an idea..." Annie Hall (1977)

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

De Vito deserves credit for getting the most out of his limited raw talent. If the two guys ahead of him both played to their potential in the same way and had a similar 'can do' attitude and energising locker room presence we'd have rather fewer problems. He's not going to save us but he has earned a little respect for over-achieving.
If you live your life as a pessimist you never really live your life at all.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on September 15, 2024, 08:22:54 AMThat's a 2026 event at the earliest. And we'll need to be picking first overall or at least in the top 3 and be in a position to move up.
Uh so what's your ....likely way things are going your scenario to get him sounds very possible  /sarcasm/

This is a very important aspect to how this transpired last year. When DJ had a bad series, the optics were him sitting on the sidelines alone like a beaten animal. What Tommy brought was enthusiasm and confidence even with his limited experience and talent. It inspired the Players and the Fan base to raise their level of achievement. This is something that needs to be watched closely by Daboll and keep him up and engaged on the sidelines. Something Rich MG has mentioned often about Bill Parcells is that he knew how to motivate each player and some needed their balls broken and some needed a kick in the ass and some needed a hug. DJ would need to be nurtured through adversity.

Excellent post!

As for the OP, if you're not on Facebook, it's an Italian thing about the hand gesture.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."
