Here's something I learned today. The SNF song is an obvious re-arrangement of Joan Jett's hit song "I Hate Myself For Loving You". Joan Jett plays guitar on the Underwood song that you are hearing so she may also be getting paid more than some of our guys.

I'm sure there are people who can explain it, but how is it worth it for NBC to pay her $18 million for this? Unless she's writing the lyrics herself, what are they getting from her that they can't get from anybody else?

At this stage, why not just go retro and have Joan and whomever's left of the Blackhearts do it like the old days. Country rock of the 90s was fine, in the 90s. Hard Rock need not be infiltrated by other genre, thank you very much!

Because Joan Jett is 68 and the youts of today have no idea who she is while Underwood is a pretty 41 year old that even her non-fans at least know who she is.

FTR JJ looks great for 68.

Is the song not always the same minus when she says which 2 teams are playing? So she probably just records that part 17 different times and they just re-dub it or whatever.
