I know John has been having some medical issues and he has been known to not appear for months on end, but with all this catastrophic stuff going on in F Florida, it would be nice to hear if he is OK.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Len, I thought he'd already moved back up north. Syracuse maybe?

weeze

Greetings from Kite Land!
Prediction was it would land somewhere between Ft. Myers and Tampa and then they just said Tampa so instead in landed about 5 feet north of me!
power went out about 330 Weds afternoon but my brand-new GENERAC kicked on and has been running ever since. I am very impressed with that generator , it was installed just about  a month ago, so far has run flawlessly and kept the Elec on at my house. Can't say the same about the Roku TV which went off at 6 or 7 Weds along with the internet but those both returned this afternoon. I Don't have electricity back, don't know when that'll happen but with the GENERAC and my pinball machines, I am high and dry. Speaking of which, they predicted we were going to drown, here at my home nothing flooded. In my opinion this was a wind event and that's it, at least here. But man it sure packed some wind! A lot of people got hit badly with lots of damage and boy I pray for them. All those ruined houses and that's on the EAST coast. Yikes.
All in all for Charlotte County, the cane 2 years ago was much more damaging.
OH I spent most of the cane texting that guy in the blue tie and so he kept me up to speed while the roku and puter were out.
And yes I DID put my house on the market with all plans to move to NY last fall. Then I had a major medical issue that Ill probably never rebound from so Ill be staying here for the duration.
That was a bad ordeal, these storms just keep getting worse. and worse and worse. Then you add what a certain political party got involved with manipulating the housing market and being involved with the Insurance industry and I dont know if Florida will ever straighten out. It is a real mess down here.
so there ya go, this is my report from Florida and Go Giants!

John: Well, since your pin ball machines are still working...

... like Ralphie in "A Christmas Story" (the kid who got a Red Ryder BB-gun for Christmas)...

I figure you're thinking "all's right with the world."  ("That Christmas would live in our memories... as the Christmas when we were introduced to Chinese turkey. All was right with the world.")

Bob

PS. As Red Skelton used to say... "May God bless."
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Glad you're ok John and no damage.

Plus we didn't want you here in NY anyway. :P  :P  :P

Seriously Weeze, I'll echo Len, glad the hurricane was too scared to mess with you. We have friends in North Port and they reported similar results - lots of wind but not as bad as they had initially feared.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnd Im happy to report that overnight the power in my neighborhood came back on! So a little prayer for that.
You gotta love it. The cane hits 5 feet North of me and what does it tear up? Daytona!
That one that hits the pan handle a few weeks ago tears up.... wait for it... Asheville, North Carolina! So the next one when its predicted to hit Alabama get your sand bags out in Buffalo!
