Jordan Malaita is out for Sunday vs. the Giants. Malaita suffered a hamstring injury late in Sunday's win over the Browns and, per Nick Sirianni, will be out "a couple of weeks." Malaita had been having a terrific season, with PFF grades of 83.2(run), 90.9(Pass pro), 88.4(overall), ranking #4 of 96 tackles. Malaita was replaced by Fred Johnson, a sixth-year former UDFA from Florida. Johnson, who already had 112 previous snaps filling in for Lane Johnson, has poor PFF grades of 68.5/35.8/50.5, ranking #67 of 76.

A second option would be second-year player Tyler Steen, a 2023 third-round pick from Alabama. Steen has 66 snaps this season, all at guard. The Eagles could also opt to move former Jets #11 overall pick, Mekhi Becton to tackle. Becton, who played LT for the Jets, has 280 offensive snaps this season, all at right guard. As for Lane Johnson, he returned to the lineup last week against the Browns after having missed the better part of two games with a concussion.

Elsewise, Dallas Goedert injured his hamstring on the third play of the Browns game and did not return. Backup Grant Calcatera took Goedert's place, playing 57 snaps and catching four passes for 57 yards. His status for the Giants is unknown. Darius Slay left the Browns game in the 3rd quarter with a knee injury and did not return. Isaiah Rodgers and Keelee Ringo took snaps in his place. Slay's staus for Sunday is, at this point, also unknown.
