If the Giants lose tonight, should they permanently bench Jones?

Would you be in favor of benching Jones for the rest of the year if they lose in Pitt to fall to 2-6?

They did indeed lose to the Steelers and with it the wind blew, the xxxx flew, and we still can't see for more than an inch or two.

As to whether and when they decide to sit Jones, it seems unlikely to be decided before the Bye Week if then. I don't know how much the $22 million injury guarantee will be a factor although a loss to Carolina in Deutschland may thumb the scale. Otherwise, there is not a lot to be gained in sitting him as I don't imagine that Lock and/or Tommy Cutlets will bring much of a different result especially in regard to next year's 1st Round QB Draft.

In any case, even if we are able to define success with a level of certainty, it's still much too early to engage in who, when, and why.

Cheers!

Jones will be here. If these posters are not Mara's cronies themselves or just stubborn Jones supporters; I can almost assure you this is how Mara is thinking.

I never liked Jones, never got the supporters, but I want him to keep playing the remainder of the year.  Tommy and Tyrod played us out of Jayden Daniels and/or Drake Maye last year.  It was a fun for a few weeks, but I'd rather take the medicine now and reap rewards later.

But I don't think the 2025 pick will be a franchise QB sadly.  Don't think it's a good year.

A $23 million dollar gamble behind our offensive line ??

Duh.

Even if we do not draft a QB this year there had better be a roster of NO DJ in 2025 or every home game will seem like a road game attendance wise.

How about now, at 2-7?

For those who want to keep playing Jones, is it safe to assume you also want to bring him back next year and continue to build the future around him?

If not, or if you're unsure, what is the point of taking the risk of activating his injury clause?
