If we think Daboll has got problems, I would think Mike McCarthy, in Dallas, is more ready to be canned than anyone else. Yes, he had a rash of big-time injuries, but in his tenure there, like several other coaches before him, he has failed big time to win for Jerrah. I would bet the house he is gone next year.

I would think Bill Belichick is right there at the top of the list. Dallas does have many of the ingredients to win and if Jerrah gave him what he gave Parvcels, it might be a good fit.

Let me throw another name out there--Deion Sanders--ex Cowgirl, and HOFer, has experience as a coach (college), maybe a bit too young though. Interesting thought though.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

The Detroit OC will have his pick of jobs. I think he'll pick Dallas.

They have their faults but they have a QB that generally, when healthy, will get them to the post season. There will be some nice pieces to work with.

If I was the best OC in the land, I'd back myself to take the Dallas job.

Len,

I think we all feared a talented Dallas team taken over by Belichick and suddenly becoming instant contenders.   The thing is, this year's team is not showing itself to be overly talented.   The uber-talented Cowboys may no longer be a thing.

It won't be Belichick unless he brings Brady with him  /sarcasm/ The real reason is that he would remind Jerrah that in the end he hated having given Parcell control in his stead. It will also be why he won't go near a celebrity type, control-freak like Sanders.

The Cows have only one attention-whore and we know who dat.

Cheers!

Someone who doesn't mind a creepy, meddling 80-something owner who's slowly losing his grip.

Jerry Jones wants a "Yes Man" for his HC. Jerry thinks he is the smartest guy in the room and that's the reason he won't hire a real GM. Who ever he hires is going to have to realize that JJ is going to be calling the shots.

Absolutely agree.

If you have someone who needs to flex to be the "smartest guy in the room", it's problematic. This is true in any professional or societal setting - it's a real problem.

Is Jerry Jones as actively involved in day to day operations as he was, say, a decade ago and earlier? My understanding is that Stephen Jones (his son) has been given increasingly greater responsibility in more recent years.
