We wish him luck in his quest to make the HOF.

I just read this article basically saying Eli doesn't deserve to make it on the first ballot

17 players who belong in the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class before Eli Manning

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/17-players-who-belong-in-the-2025-pro-football-hall-of-fame-class-before-eli-manning/ar-AA1uv6jB?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=953b78676d2c4a50bc431454dedac6b9&ei=19

Lot of good points made here also.

We have had this discussion many times about Eli. Sure we are prejudiced as we all wish that he makes it, but his numbers just don't justify a first round selection.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

He deserves it and will get in, 1st ballot
Ain't nothing to it but to do it!

I hope he gets in, but I completely understand if he doesn't

An article which talks about statistics that, in the end, matter little. Conveniently, when it comes to the metrics which matter most (e.g. Super Bowl record, number of Super Bowl MVP selections), these are conveniently omitted.

Line the cat litter box with this news rag, which it is about all it is worth. Eli Manning will be inducted so get over yourself, Jack Silverstein!

Peace!

I'm not sure hes a guaranteed first ballot hall of famer, but i do believe he will get in at some point. The name recognition, the 2 super bowls, elevating his game when it mattered most, his longevity...he was a staple in the league for nearly 2 decades. High profile player who did what many greats could not...twice.

I agree with this article. He is not a first ballot HOF and yes statistic do matter. So does a .500 winning%.  Simms is the Giants QB who should finally be inducted.

Understand, yes. Happy? Hell no. The issue is and will remain the emphasis which the voters place on Eli's two Super Bowl MVP wins over the GOATriots as compared to what has been referred to as his "profoundly mediocre regular season record" the latter of which I feel is nonsense in any sort of reasonable Super Bowl era context.

Cheers!

Yes sir. You had used a descriptor in the past, pertaining to "cockadoodle," if I remember correctly. Anyone attempting to downplay the significance of his battles with Brady and his Patriots, when it mattered most, all that be necessary is to call the GOAT himself to the witness stand and allow him to testify how those two losses continue to impact him to this very day despite the collection of Lombardi Trophies surrounding him.

Persuasive testimony to the heart of the matter; CASE CLOSED!

Eli Manning, welcome to the PFHOF!

Peace!

I don't know that this is much of an argument to be honest.  By and large I believe most voters/people think that:

- Eli will get in, albeit unlikely on the first ballot.
- He will get in on the back of 2 things.  1 - his wins were of historic nature and are equally as significant in NFL lore as Joe Namath guaranteeing the Jets win.  2 - While he never set the NFL ablaze with stats, he was very, very good for a very long time and finished his career in the top 10 in every statistical category imaginable.

The haters will point to a lack of All-Pros and Probowls and nonsense, but the dude's getting in.

DaveBrown74

I see no way Eli does not get into the Hall.

First ballot if a maybe. There are some incredible names who did not manage to do that.
