Maybe it's also possible that all the experts who say Jones made a smart move went to the far more talented Vikings, with a coach with an actual positive track record on not only developing quarterbacks but also helping them salvage what seem like failed careers.  DJ is a Duke graduate, and it is hard to believe he isn't smart enough to stay where he is.

If Daniel Jones makes it with the Vikings, then he will deserve whatever he gets. He will have earned it, as opposed to with the Giants where he inherited his job based on being a high draft pick.

As for 10 teams being interested in Daniel Jones, thats no different than dozens of players NFL teams kick the tires on. Sure, bring him in for peanuts and see what he does. If these other teams believed in Daniel Jones as a possible franchise QB, they would be on the phone with his agent trying to persuade him as to why they are the best situation. If they tried, they didn't try very hard.

To me, the notion that 10-12 teams were reportedly interested in Jones is decidedly unflattering, not the other way around, as some seem to believe. It's unflattering because, if true, that means about 2/3 of the league had zero interest in Jones, despite the fact that his price point is now at rock bottom levels.

I think Jones made the right decision in going to Minnesota given the way Darnold has flourished there, but he signed for $375k for six games and he is a practice squad player. So the fact that some 20 or more teams weren't even interested in speaking to him about the opportunity to sign him for those types of paltry terms is not exactly a show of huge demand or eagerness.

I will readily acknowledge that free makes a player more attractive
