A ray of sun peeking through the dark clouds called "the Giants"

PFF has ranked all the rookies and the Giants have two in the top 15, as well as getting some accolades on a few others. Our rookie class is pretty damn good

The two that made the cut: Malik Nabors and Dru Phillips

Nabors is a no-brainer and a serious no.1 WR; however, Phillips is named as the top CB taken out of the last draft. "The slot corner makes his presence felt in the pass and run game, making him a versatile weapon for Shane Bowen's defensive unit. Not only is Phillips the highest-rated cornerback, but he trails only Jared Verse as the best rookie defender." PFF

Also, getting noticeable attention: Theo and Tracy... "late-round rookies like Theo Johnson and Tyrone Tracy Jr. have also emerged as important offensive options down the stretch. Tracy quickly stole the RB1 job from Devin Singletary in his first year. Second-round pick Tyler Nubin didn't quite fill the void that Xavier McKinney left when he departed for Green Bay, but he still had an overall successful season before being placed on IR"

Add to that, "Baby Bison" has fit in nicely with the DL (how did the Bills not grab that guy with a nickname like that?)

The sad part though...we still have OL issues that seem to never go away

Don't mind me...I'm just searching for anything that might be something to give hope
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

That's about all we can do right now.

After 80% of their 1st season, the 2024 draft class seems to be Schoens best.  Hopefully it's not an anomaly (think Reese's 2007 class) and is a sign of things to come.

Thanks for some positivity in darkness

Reese's 2007 draft was an all time great draft - not many GMs would ever have a draft like that.

A lot of his picks from 2008-2012 like Hakeem Nicks or Kenny Phillips were snakebit by career altering injuries.

After 2012 (coincidentally when Chris Mara was promoted), Reese became an outright terrible GM.

The problem the Giants have had is that Gettleman was worse, and Schoen, at best, is probably about the same as post-2012 Reese so far.

I think that 2007 draft was very good but I don't see it as anything great. Aaron Ross and Steve Smith are decent picks but nothing special.

I would take either of 2004 or 2005 over it and probably 2003 as well.
