If you Draft Sanders or Ward you do NOT sign a bridge QB

We must want to not ever be a good team again.

We shouldn't be spending a fortune on someone like Darnold, but acquiring someone like a Jameis, Brissett, Fields or Dobbs makes alot of sense. Even if it is only for a third of the season. They need a more capable body in case the new QB goes down too. Tanking, and losing is no longer acceptable after this year.

Personally I don't care if they spend a little money on a QB to start the season and help mentor.  I think some feel it's a waste of money but I don't understand that thinking.

The most important thing for this team going forward is getting the right QB and providing an environment that he can be successful.

This team is so far away from a QB making a difference its pathetic. Don't draft a QB now (are any of these guys this year really the answer?) and sign a bridge Qb until they have a real team.  Commit to building inside out first, then someday in the future, go get a real QB which will actually make a difference.  Otherwise it's the same old treadmill to nowhere.

I think some are twisting my words

Im not against sitting a rookie QB... but many rookie QBs get drafting and are already on a team that has a veteran QB .... Its not even a debate that wasting 5-10 mil on a QB to only start for a few games is a complete waste when we could possibly fill in a hole somewhere else more important on the team

If we had a 36 year old Eli Manning or 40 year Brady already on this team then I agree completely for the rookie to sit ... why because the vet QB is ALREADY on the team

If you want to rookie to sit that bad then go ahead... but roll with Devito until we realize its a waste of playing time...

Caleb and Jayden both started day 1 this season

its really NOT that out of this world that a top 5 picked QB starts day 1... wasting money on a VET QB just to do so is silly ....

Obviously.

Not sure what that has to do with this though. I was just providing an example of a QB who was taken in the top 5 overall who didn't start anytime in the first half of his rookie season.
