Interesting developments.  Prior to the Lions game, it appeared that the best move for the Vikings was to retain Darnold on the tag and see if Darnold continued to prove he is the answer at QB.  Now, it appears that it makes more sense for the Vikings to move on from Darnold and use the cap money on building and retaining.

In my mind, there is no zero percent chance the Vikings would trade JJ and a much better chance Darnold will be among the free-agent QBs.

If I were the GM, I would roll with JJ and maybe retain Daniel Jones as his backup.  I would offer DJ a one-year contract, which would give him cash and a chance to rebuild himself, a chance to start some games with excellent support and allow him to enter the QB market in 2026.

If I were a QB needy team, I think I would be careful how much money I would be willing to pay Darnold as his success seems dependent on having top 5 support, which not many teams (including the Giants) have to offer.

You go ahead and focus on that one season and that one SB, while ignoring BB aggregate performance without Brady. Again, 83 -101. Moreover, BB failed to develop a single current starting NFL QB. Yet, you and others want to give him credit for Brady.  Odd...

Again, it was multiple seasons and multiple super bowls that that the defense and Special teams were the primary reason for winning.  Just keep ignoring the reality of that and just look at the roster instead of watching the games.

No where did I say the def wasn't important. As I stared, the 06-08 teams had 13 HoF/RoH/AP/PB players. They were the NFLs most talented teams. As talent evaluator, BB gets credit.

What I explicitly stated is the data clearly indicates BB success is directly tied to Brady; without him, he was well below 500.  You're dismissing that fact with some abstract statements about the defense and watching the games  Tell me, does Josh McDaniels also get credit for Brady's greatness?
