"To be honest with you, I'm a fan of Cam Ward," Tracy told Brandon London of the New York Post. "Just because I think the passing and the running, that's where the league is shifting to, and just off of Dabes' offense, we have a whole bunch of quarterback runs and situations where the quarterback has to run.

"I'm not saying other quarterbacks in the draft can't run. I just know Cam Ward is the best off of film. He's my favorite."

Reporters are free to ask any question they want. It's incumbent on players, who do get training, to be smart in how they answer/handle the questions

They should be coached up on the proper response.

I just have little tolerance for tabloid journalism, even in sports.

J: I generally disagree and believe (in this case) there was nothing wrong with Tracy telling the truth... because... IMO the odds that a bad scenario (for Tracy) will occur are (at best) extremely remote.

He has a problem ONLY if we trade UP for a different QB (virtually impossible) or we pass on Ward for some other QB when it's time for our first pick of the draft (even less likely). The most likely bad circumstance (considering my opinions concerning the relative value of every potential 1st-round pick) is that the first two teams select non-QB's and we stay put and choose Sanders (or a QB so far off the radar at this point that the villagers with pitchforks show up at Shoen's house).

In all other cases (Ward is already gone or we take a player other than a QB), he's safe no matter who the Giants ultimately draft.
